ECHOES OF TIME – 25 Years of Tattoo Art
Tattoo Life presents the new book in The Great Books on The Art of Tattooing series, celebrating 25 years of the Tattoo Life publishing house.
Beginning with the very first book in the series, Flash: The Art of The Mark (2002), which launched our prestigious, limited-edition art volumes, it highlights artists that have defined a quarter-century of tattooing: from Boog‘s lettering to the Japanese art of Horiyoshi III, from Robert Borbas‘s dark style to the first two celebrated volumes created in the Traditional hub of Spider Murphy’s, all of which sold out within months.
The collection also features iconic works from Filip Leu and Mike Dorsey, as well as those that celebrated Chicano art, including Con Safos and Lowrider Tattoo Flash. Additionally, it includes historic pieces from two remarkable volumes, The Wooden Folder and The Traditional Folder, which are considered cornerstones of Japanese and Traditional tattoo styles. This is a rich mix of styles and influential artists, all brought together under the Tattoo Life name.
This volume is enriched by an additional book, a ‘Tattoo Tool‘ with over 100 sheets with hundreds of designs suitable for tattoo walk-in inspirations in any style, selected from the extensive digital library of Tattoo Life at www.tattooebooks.com. A practical volume for both studio and convention use.
